About Me

From the data of Dhaka reporters Unity, the highest organization of journalists, there are only few men who are regularly collecting economic news or doing journalism. While the number of men in newspapers engaged in economic journalism in the field or at the desk is lower, there is only a handful on Newspaper. One of them is Shahin Howlader. Mr. Howlader has completed a master’s degree with a major in accounting. Currently, he works for Time TV, the first Bangladeshi community HD channel in the USA. He has spent the last decade working in journalism and has received awards from various organizations for his outstanding contributions to the field.

Covering Area :

Participated in numerous domestic and foreign seminars.
Participated in various national program specially round table meetings, seminars on financial sector.
Participated in different international events specially, the annual meeting of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank group and also covered report on the banking sector.
Participated to the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA2023) held in New York and also covered report on Bangladesh Issues.
Besides this, covered various business programs in India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Dubai.

List of Awards:

Global youth leadership award (Dubai) -March 2023. The award was presented in Dubai as the best reporter in economic journalism. Abdullah Saleh, Secretary , Ministry of Finance ,UAE was the chief guest. Also present were Norway Embassy Minister Consular, UAE US Embassy representative and ambassadors of various countries and distinguished guests.
Mother Teresa golden award (Dhaka) –september 2023. The Chairman of Bangladesh Press Council Justice Md. Nizamul Haque Nasim at a function held in the capital. The award is given for contributions in economic journalism.

Best Reporter Award -2020 from American-Bangladesh Sangbadik Forum (ABSF). The award is given for outstanding reporting in economic journalism.
